The 2nd ER students are already experienced competitors, they also participated in last year's 1st year. This year, the students had a time limit of 158 hours and were given a total of 38 competition tasks in cyber security, encryption, coding, general computer science, networking and operating systems.
Especially the students from the 2nd ER, namely Josef Franta and Štěpán Latislav, did very well and held the podium for several days, which they unfortunately lost during the weekend part of the competition. Their final result in the form of 7th place for Štěpán (86th place in the Czech Republic) and 8th place for Josef (87th place in the Czech Republic) is very nice, also because the competition increased compared to last year.
The competition was attended by 7905 students, 464 of them in the South Bohemia Region. The aforementioned students from the 2nd ER improved their scores by almost 40 places in the national comparison compared to last year (despite the significantly higher number of competitors).
The other team members also did very well:
- 11th place David Janošt'ák from 2nd ER (115th place in the Czech Republic - an improvement of 10 places compared to last year),
- 12th place Filip Adamec from 1.ER (117th place in the Czech Republic),
- 13th place Filip Mařík from 1.EE (122nd place in the Czech Republic),
- 14th place Tadeáš Řehoř from 1.ER (126th place in the Czech Republic),
- 15th place Václav Janda from 1.ER (127th place in the Czech Republic),
- 21st place Johan Snopek from 1.EE (170th place in the Czech Republic).
In the Most Active School category, the excellent performance of our team was enough to rank 100th in the Czech Republic out of 273 participating schools, which is 11th out of 28 in the South Bohemia Region.
We thank all the representatives of the school and look forward to the next year of this challenging but really great competition.
