On 18th June 2024, classes 1.EE, 2.ER and 2.S (accompanied by their class teachers) went on a school trip to the Chýnov Cave and the town of Tábor. From České Budějovice they went to Chýnov by train (with one change in Tábor), from Chýnov they walked towards the cave. Due to the limited capacity of the cave, the individual classes had to change, in the meantime it was possible to visit the lookout on Pacova hora.
At the beginning of the cave tour, the guide explained the basic rules of entry and basic information about the cave. We then went into the bowels of the cave, where we stopped several times to hear about the history, the current use of the cave and to look at the patterns that have formed here over time.
After the end of the tours, all the groups went back to Chýnov by the same route, where the train took us back to the town of Tábor. Here - only at lunchtime - everyone got a two-hour break. After lunch, we explored the historical centre of the town and took the train back to České Budějovice.
The trip was uneventful and we all had a great time!
