At the beginning there was a short welcome to the group of 8 pupils and the pedagogical supervision from the Educational Care Centre. The group consisted of pupils from the seventh and ninth grades and after the welcome they had a short tour of the individual workshop departments, where the pupils were introduced to the workshop equipment and the activities carried out there as part of the training of the students of the SPŠ SE.
Finally, the group moved to the locksmith's department, where a briefing on the activities took place under the guidance of the vocational teacher Mgr. Benches performed for 90 minutes. The seventh grade students made a key ring out of clear plexiglass using cutting and grinding tools. The drilling was done with the help of an accumulation hand drill with the support of the teacher. The ninth grade students began making a salt and pepper shaker out of clear Plexiglas based on the finished product presented. Traditional machining with hand tools was supplemented by working with a hot air gun to shape the plexiglass and the gluing method of joining. The finished products were taken home by the pupils.
The event exceeded the expectations of the SVP teaching staff. The project will continue every 14 days. There is also positive feedback from the specialist teacher on the manual dexterity of the primary school pupils.
