The lectures took place in individual classes of the 2nd year as part of the teaching of the basics of social sciences. The aim was to provide pupils with basic information about the European Union.
PhDr. Marková introduced the pupils to the activities of the Eurocentre and the eurodesk.cz website, which was unknown to most of them. The lecturer also provided information about the composition of the EU, the Member States, the history of the EU, its enlargement and the current form of the EU, she also described the activities of the European Council, the Council of the EU, the European Parliament and the European Commission.
In the end, PhDr. Marková introduced projects such as youth exchanges, Erasmus+, DiscoverEU, European Solidarity Corps, etc., thanks to which pupils can travel abroad - whether they want to work, study, help or simply gain experience by meeting young people of a similar age.
