There was also mention of the historical event that led to the recognition of cyber-attack as a weapon for military purposes. In addition to basic information about the individual incidents, students learned how the attacks took place and what measures the CEZ Group's power plants are taking today to prevent their recurrence.
The lecture also included basic information about hackers and their different motivations, as well as practical tips on how to improve your own cyber security.
Finally, the topic of software vulnerability management, detection, patching and a practical demonstration of exploiting the Log4shell vulnerability (CVE-2021-44228).
During June, this lecture will be followed by a purely practical activity where students will try ethical hacking for themselves. This workshop will be the culmination of the ČEZ Hackathon Dukelská 2025, which is being prepared for our school by specialists from ČEZ.
