From 1. 2. 2025 will be launched Physics competition I know why (11th year) for primary and secondary school pupils. The task is to make a video explaining a physical phenomenon or law. No special equipment is needed: physics is everywhere around us, so you can get by with objects found in every home, garage or garden. The video is not only designed to educate, but also to entertain and amuse.
As in previous years, the winners of the main categories (primary school and secondary school) will receive, in addition to valuable shopping vouchers Also 200,000 crowns for your school. The money can be used to purchase teaching aids and equipment, or to refurbish classrooms. Funding is provided by the ČEZ Foundation.
You have a few months to think, prepare and shoot. You can upload short videos of your experiments to the website I know why | Svět Energie (svetenergie.cz) insert up to 30. 4. 2025. You can also find videos from previous years at the same address. These can serve not only as inspiration for your own work, but also as interesting teaching material for teachers. The competition will be judged in June.
