Visiting the Olympic Park: an unforgettable experience

Last week we visited the Olympic Park, which was built at the exhibition grounds in České Budějovice on the occasion of the XXV Olympic Winter Games in Italy, as part of physical education lessons with selected classes.

Pupils had a unique opportunity to get a glimpse into the world of Olympic sports. Accompanied by their teachers, they tried out various sports disciplines, soaked up the atmosphere of the Olympic Games and cheered on our athletes in a large fanzone. It was also a great and indescribable experience to meet our Olympic medallists, who presented their sports on the spot and willingly attended to the visitors.

The participation of the students was completely free of charge thanks to the early registration of the school, which we did at the beginning of the school year. The response from the pupils was very positive - many of them tried sports they had not encountered before and gained new inspiration for their leisure time and sports development.

We are glad that we could at least in this way get involved in the promotion of winter sports and bring the values of Olympism, fair play and the joy of movement to the pupils. We believe that they took away not only beautiful memories from the visit, but also the desire to discover new sporting challenges.
