Our school was visited by a delegation of ten experts from the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRDK), a national organisation under the Ministry of Employment and Labour of the Republic of Korea. The aim of their study trip was to familiarise themselves with the vocational education system in the Czech Republic and compare it with Korean practice.
The meeting took place in a friendly and open atmosphere. At the beginning, the school director, Jaroslav Koreš, Ph.D., presented the basic characteristics of the school, its focus and educational concept. Guests were introduced to the structure of teaching, the combination of general education and specialised subjects, compulsory professional practice for pupils in companies, and the school's focus on preparing students for university studies.
This was followed by a tour of the school, during which the delegation visited specialist classrooms, laboratories and workshops. The guests showed particular interest in the technical subjects taught at the school – electrical engineering and mechanical engineering – and their specialisations, which include robotics, electrical power engineering, electromobility and mechanical engineering.
Throughout the meeting, communication was facilitated by a Korean-Czech interpreter, which enabled open discussion and exchange of experiences.
