Our students at the top of the energy industry: participation in the SMR Maturita ČEZ

This program is one of the specialized educational and recruitment programs for high school students organized by the CEZ Group energy company.

This is not a standard exam, but an intensive two-day internship focused on the highly topical area of energy. The main part of the programme focuses on Small Modular Reactors (SMR) technology. This is a key future area of nuclear energy in the Czech Republic.

During the internship, students learned about the principles and operation of SMRs, legislation and financing of their construction and specific plans for the construction of these reactors in the Czech Republic. The programme included lectures, seminars and excursions to relevant sites, such as the Řež Nuclear Power Plant. Upon successful completion of the final knowledge test (hence the name "Maturita"), participants received a certificate.

Participation in this program can make it easier for students to obtain a scholarship or future employment with CEZ Group.
