Our students received scholarships from the Foundation for the Support of Education and Science

On 27 November 2025, a ceremony was held in the ceremonial hall of the České Budějovice Town Hall to award scholarships from the Foundation for the Support of Education and Science of the City of České Budějovice. Among the students who received scholarships were our students from the 2nd and 3rd years.

The foundation aims to support both exceptionally gifted secondary school and university students who have achieved results in competitions in their field, as well as students with social difficulties. We are very pleased that our eight students have received scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year from the chair of the foundation's board of trustees, Mayor Dagmara Škodová Parmová.

At the scholarship award ceremony, following an introductory speech by the mayor and an opening performance by two conservatory students (Jean-Joseph Mouret: Rondeau; trumpet, organ), the secretary, Ing. Adolf Lísal, introduced the individual scholarship recipients, who were presented with symbolic cheques. Two representatives of the scholarship recipients, Vojtěch Šišpela (from our school) and Šimon Čermák (from the conservatory), then said a few words and expressed their gratitude. After the scholarship recipients' speeches, we listened to a composition by Johann Sebastian Bach (organ) and a sonata for violin and piano by Johannes Brahms performed by conservatory students.

We would like to thank the Board of Trustees of the České Budějovice Foundation, the Mayor and the Secretary for the scholarships awarded to our students, which will enable them to work on their self-fulfilment and continue to advance in the field of science and technology, as well as for the invitation to this festive event.
