As part of the Erasmus+ job shadowing programme, teachers from the Secondary Industrial School of Technology and Design Poprad chose our school for their visit. During their stay, they were mainly interested in teaching vocational subjects, especially in the field of mechanical engineering. Their aim was to compare the scope and content of similarly focused subjects taught in our country and in Slovakia.

The first day of the visit was devoted to organizational matters. The guests were welcomed by the headmaster, learned about the history of the school and had a tour of the school premises. At the same time, the programme of lessons and the organisation of the following days were specified.

In the following days, Slovak teachers participated in listening sessions in selected classes and vocational subjects. In addition to the work programme, an accompanying programme was prepared for them according to their interest. During their stay, they visited Český Krumlov, the Hluboká nad Vltavou Castle, the historical centre of České Budějovice, the Budvar brewery, the national enterprise, and the planetarium and observatory. An excursion to the Trojan engineering company was also prepared for Thursday afternoon.

The final evaluation of the whole visit took place in the presence of the school director Mr. Mgr. Jaroslav Koreš, Ph.D. Representatives of the Slovak school - Mr. Ing. Milan Hanzeli, Ing. Marta Tkáčová and RNDr. Janette Dlugošová - expressed their interest in establishing deeper cooperation between the two schools within the Erasmus+ programme, also in the form of future visits of their students.
