Regional softball round (May 18, 2022)

The tournament was played on the field of the University of South Bohemia and was attended by 4 schools (our school, Bishop's Gymnasium J. N. Neumann, Czech-English Gymnasium and Secondary Medical School). Our school was represented by students Lukáš Solařík, Filip Kordina, Václav Schneider (1.SA), Richard Kadlec, Tomáš Kučera, Petr Winzig, Jakub Čermák, David Pokorný, Jan Reiský, Hubert Havel (1.EA), Jan Šíma (2.SA), Jakub Kočárek (2.EA) and Filip Kopecký (3.SB). 

The first match - against BIGY - did not go in our favour at first. The boys reversed the unfavourable situation only in the last exchange, with a final score of 3:2. The second match - against the Secondary Medical School - was smoothly won (7:0). The last match was the deciding factor for the advancement. Thanks to their focused play, our boys won 3:0 and thus qualify for the Secondary Schools Slowpitch Championship, which will take place on 15-16 June 2022 in Kostelec nad Orlicí. 

Since the train journey takes over 5 hours, we will leave for the final tournament a day earlier and stay in the gym of the local high school. Keep your fingers crossed for us to win!
