Regional round of high school vocational activities
On April 15, 2025, the regional round of the SOTC took place in the House of Children and Youth. It was the 47th year of this nationwide competition for high school students.
Students compete in a total of 18 different categories. Our school participated in several categories this year.
Electrical engineering, electronics and telecommunications categories
We had three representatives in the electrical engineering category. They presented a spatial display made of 1000 RGB LEDs, an EZS educational demonstrator and a spatial hologram. It was the spatial hologram of the 2nd year student Lukáš Zdychynec that impressed the evaluation committee. Lukáš designed, engineered, manufactured and commissioned this product all by himself, won the category and was nominated for the national show which should take place sometime before the end of this school year.
Engineering category
Tereza Böhmová from class 4.SA with the defence of Hydraulic jack for motorcycle repairs and Vít Suchan from class 4.SB. defended the design of gearbox of RC model Škoda Liaz in scale 1:14. Tereza took third place.
