Nuclear Baccalaureate 2019
Students of 3EB class Roman Dědič, Lukáš Hejna, Radim Helcl, Aleš Kropík and Petr Němec took part in the Nuclear Baccalaureate 2019 event on 24-26 April.
The event took place at the Temelín NPP. On the first day, lectures on various topics related to nuclear energy were on the agenda, e.g. primary and secondary part of Temelín NPP, nuclear safety and nuclear reactor theory. The next day we had a tour of the Unit 2 and the visitor centre. We had a tour of the engine room of the production unit and the cooling towers were almost within our reach. On the last day we competed in a knowledge test against 26 other students from all over the country. Radim Helcl evaluated his knowledge the most and became the king of the Nuclear Baccalaureate. Dana Drábová, the chairwoman of the State Office for Nuclear Safety, personally congratulated all the participants.
