Even teachers of vocational subjects write books

On 15 May 2025, the agency Dobrý den, s. r. o., which manages the Czech Book of Records, recognised the record for creating the largest set of books with a railway theme at the World Book Fair in Prague.

This edition of the books was co-authored by a teacher of vocational subjects teaching at our school in the field of Electromobility - Ing. Zdeněk Vyhnal.

Publications with railway topics were published by František Tylšar from Veselí nad Lužnicí in 2014-2025. It is a set of 20 books called Literati on the line. The books represent a total of 5,778 pages and contain 1,179 contributions by railwaymen and railway fans. The last of the books was christened by the singing lawyer JUDr. Ivo Jahelka at the World Book Fair in Prague.

Ing. Zdeněk Vyhnal contributed specifically by including short stories written according to reality:

  • The four legs of the uncrossed shifter
  • Slippers are not for slippers
  • Praise for the delayed train
  • Journey to Vladivostok without or with return
  • A well-deserved sleep for the foreman

of anti-war short stories:

  • 30 minutes in eternity
  • Peace at last

...of a fable:

  • Dog ride

by writing the last paragraph of the story:

  • About a dog who went on a train trip

and a short collection of poetry:

  • 7 conventional, dadaist and experimental poems

In his own words, he found inspiration in teaching ČJL both in the times of his own studies at our school, as well as in the content of the current ČJL subject boards, which he passes by when he comes as a teacher of electrical subjects to teach.
