Excursion to the Czech Budejovice Observatory and Planetarium (1.EE, 1.ER)

Visit to the Tatra exhibition in the South Bohemian Museum (1.EE, 1.ER)

On Friday, 12 April 2024, pupils from 1.ER and 1.EE visited the planetarium in České Budějovice and the Tatra exhibition in the South Bohemian Museum. We met at 7:30 in front of the school and then went to the planetarium. In the planetarium, in a room with a rounded 12-meter ceiling, we were shown the night sky. The planetarium worker who showed and explained everything to us was very nice and willing to answer our questions. After the approximately one hour lecture, we watched two short films about space.

After the visit to the planetarium we went to the South Bohemian Museum to see the Tatra exhibition. Unfortunately, it was only about ten meters long aisle, where there were a few old models of cars on display. So the exhibition was a bit disappointing.

On Monday, 15 April 2024, a professional excursion of pupils of class 1.ER took place in the operation of the company ASPERA technology, s. r. o., based in Křižíkova Street. The excursion was arranged for our school by the director of the company, Mr. Ing. Pavel Kocourek in cooperation with the HR manager Mrs. Bc. Eliška Sochorovou.

After a short OSH training, the excursion to the construction and production preparation workplace began. Here, the students were introduced to the issues of demand and procurement of materials for the production of steel structures, which are the backbone of the company's production portfolio. Furthermore, the company carries out surface treatment of its own products and those of its customers (Panasonic, Mercedes Brabus, etc.) with KOMAXIT dry paint.

We moved from the design office to the operating halls, where we got to know the company's machinery and saw most of the equipment in operation. The company employs over 100 employees in various positions, and is creating additional new positions by introducing fully robotic workstations in heavy product bending, laser and plasma cutting. Welding work is performed by certified welders. Final assembly is carried out on site or directly by the customer.

The professional excursion exceeded all our expectations. The willingness, friendliness and openness of the staff introduced our students to the secrets of marketing and winning contracts in today's difficult and economically unstable times. Mr. Ing. Pavel Kocourek offered the pupils the possibility of professional practice, internships and temporary jobs.
