Excursion to the substation TR České Budějovice - Střed
On 17th and 18th February 2025, 4.EB pupils divided into two groups took part in an excursion to the TR České Budějovice - Střed distribution substation of EG.D.
This substation is located at U Elektrárny 405/10, 370 01 České Budějovice, not far from the school. The pupils had a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the technical layout and equipment of the substation, which is equipped with two low-noise 110/22 kV transformers with an output of 40 MVA. The substation is designed as an indoor encapsulated substation and is a suitable complement to the teaching in the subject Electrical Power Engineering in the topic Electrical Substations. The substation was put into operation in autumn 2024 with the aim of increasing the security and stability of electricity supply and at the same time enabling further development of the distribution system in České Budějovice.
