Excursion to the DOD of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, ZČU in Pilsen (27 January 2026)

The event is already traditional, our students and teachers participate in it every year. Transportation by two buses was provided by the university itself, so all our students could take advantage of the DOD visit.

The students of Mechanical Engineering and some students of Electromobility focused on a tour of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of ZČU, where an introductory lecture was prepared introducing both the faculty itself and its fields of study. Very useful was the information of the head of the study department about the method of applying for studies and the evaluation criteria for determining the ranking of applicants for studies. At the end of her presentation, she gave important dates of the admission procedure. At the same time, there were information stands in the corridors of the companies cooperating with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of ZČU, which also try to attract applicants for professional practice and later also future employees. After the introductory lecture, the students could freely explore the modernly equipped laboratories, workshops, 3D metal printing laboratories and research facilities.

Our students evaluated the DOD at ZČU in Pilsen very positively and the introduction to the university environment as beneficial.
