Excursion to Prague, this time for history and art (28 March 2023)

On 28 March 2023, the 3.EB class went on a field trip to Prague. The main objectives were to visit Prague Castle and the National Museum.

At 7:00 a.m. we left for Prague by train, took a tram to Prague Castle, went through security and after buying tickets we immersed ourselves in the inner spaces of the Castle. We toured the St. Vitus Cathedral (evidence of the work of the best Czech artists and rulers, the long completion, the symbolism of the Gothic), the Old Royal Palace (Vladislav Hall, window of the second Prague defenestration), St. George's Basilica (Romanesque style, St. Ludmila) and Golden Lane.

The journey to the city centre followed, which led through Nerudova Street, St. Nicholas Church in the Lesser Town, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, the Estates Theatre and Wenceslas Square. Then we visited the National Museum - the exposition History of the 20th century and the pantheon of Czech personalities.

The train journey back to České Budějovice was 40 minutes longer (due to an accident on the line), but we arrived safely and full of new impressions.
