Excursion to Temelín Nuclear Power Plant (30 November 2022)

In the information centre (in the Vysoký Hrádek Chateau), the pupils first watched a short video. Then they were divided into two groups and had to go through an entrance check (breath test and ID check).

During the tour of the power plant, the pupils visited, for example, the engine room, where they could see the turbine (divided into high-pressure and low-pressure parts), the generator and the condenser. Along the way they also saw the cooling towers and reactor units. Afterwards, we all headed back to the mansion where the students toured the power plant in virtual reality and saw the local exhibit.
