After a nice welcome by the HR department, we watched an engaging presentation. The speaker was a graduate of our school who now works at Hauser. We learned about the history of the company, the production process and the wide product portfolio. At Hauser, the emphasis is on safety and ecology.
Then we went to the most interesting part of the excursion, i.e. the tour of the production. We were divided into two groups and each group was accompanied by two employees of the company. In order to hear the explanations (it is quite noisy in the production hall), we were given headphones at the beginning of the tour. During the tour we watched the automatic machines that cut and bent the necessary shapes from the sheets. These were then passed on through the factory to be cleaned and foamed with insulating PU foam. This was followed by the application of powder paint and firing at a temperature of 210 °C. The last stop was the assembly of the components into their final form and a careful check of the quality and functionality of the product. During the tour, the guide asked the pupils questions. The pupils were rewarded with a small prize for the correct answer.
During the excursion, we learned a lot of interesting information - for example, how the different colours of refrigerated furniture in shops unconsciously influence the customer. Next time we go shopping, we will certainly pay more attention to these details.
