Dukla helps: Shoe boxes handed over
As part of the Dukla Helps school charity project, this year we participated for the first time in the nationwide charity collection Shoe Boxes, organised by Diakonie ČCE.
Individual students and teachers, as well as entire classes, got involved at the school. From 18 November to 3 December 2025, registered participants brought gifts for selected children (according to age group and gender), or for their parents or entire families. We received a lot of packages, so we were glad that a colleague who happened to be passing by, Mr Růžička, helped us load them into the car, and Mr Vlášek, the caretaker at SPŠ SE, then drove us to the collection point.
On 4 December 2025, all the gifts were handed over at the Evangelical Church in České Budějovice, from where they will be sent to those who are looking forward to them the most, i.e. children from socially disadvantaged families who would otherwise not find any gifts under the Christmas tree, or to their mothers, fathers, and entire families.
