This year, volunteers had a total of 900 flowers at their disposal, which they offered in pairs during the morning hours, along with information leaflets to passers-by. The minimum price of one flower was 20 CZK, but donors could make a higher donation, which in many cases they did. People were interested in the collection and paid for the flowers both in cash and via mobile phone using QR codes, which were newly available for them this year.
In total, we have selected on 15 May 2024 27 398 Kč, which we then sent to the account of the League Against Cancer Prague via the Czech Post. We are glad that we could support a good cause in this way and we are very grateful to all the volunteers who took part in the event this time.
And how much have we raised in total in the 3 years we have been participating in the Dukla Helps Czech Day Against Cancer? In 2022 we sold 600 flowers and received CZK 20,394, in 2023 we sold 800 flowers and received CZK 23,033 and in 2024 we sold 890 flowers (10 of the ordered quantity were incomplete and we are returning them) and received CZK 27,398. In total, the EA and EB classes raised a beautiful 70,825 CZK in 3 years to support the fight against cancer.
