Second place in the CzechSkills qualification and advancement to the national finals

The final of the CzechSkills qualification competition, which took place on 8 January 2026, showed that the technical competition is not just about an ideal start, but mainly about the ability to react at the right moment. Our students did it - they won the 2nd place and qualified for the national final in Brno.

The competition day did not start ideally for our team. In the morning part, the students were looking for the right grasp of the task and the optimal workflow. They themselves felt that their performance did not match what they normally manage. But it was not a failure - rather a situation that everyone encounters in technical practice: the solution does not come immediately and you need to orient yourself.

The breakthrough came in the afternoon part of the competition, which focused on setting up motors and working with PLCs. It was here that the students worked confidently, systematically and with significantly more confidence. The pace picked up, mistakes were fewer and it was clear that they had strengths in this area. The performance in the afternoon block was one of the best in the whole competition and had a major impact on the overall ranking.

The result was the overall 2nd advancement level and advancement to the national finals of CzechSkills in Brno. This success was won by the team consisting of:
Filip Adamec (2nd ER), Jan Beneš (1st ER), Václav Janda (2nd ER), Jerguš Tóth (3rd ER) and Lukáš Zdychynec (3rd ER).

The qualification was not just a competition for the students, but a valuable real-world technical experience. It tested their ability to work under pressure, analyse a problem and use their strengths. Now the next step awaits them - preparation for the national finals in Brno, where they will want to build on what has worked well and work on their reserves.
