Czech Day Against Cancer 2023
On Wednesday, May 10, 2023, thanks to 16 volunteers in yellow T-shirts from classes 2.EA and 2.EB, we joined a national public collection to support cancer prevention, cancer treatment and research.
Students sold flowers to passers-by on the streets of České Budějovice and handed out leaflets with information on how to reduce the risk of lung cancer. This year, the morning sold 800 flowersk. In total, the volunteers collected 23 033 CZK, which we then sent to the account of the League Against Cancer Prague.
We are pleased to have been able to support a good cause in this way, and we are very grateful to all the students who took part in the event.
We received an official thank you for our cooperation and support - a certificate with the amount of money that volunteers from classes 2.EA and 2.EB raised during the Czech Day Against Cancer fundraising event on May 10, 2023.
This year our students in the streets of Č. Budějovice collected CZK 2,639 more than last year. We are definitely counting on our involvement in the Czech Day Against Cancer in 2024. Thank you again to all our volunteers!
