3-4 September 2025 in Doubí u Třeboně, the teams of classes 1. S and 1. EM got to know each other. On the first day, pupils got to know their classmates within their classes - they introduced themselves in the form of business cards, created sociometric lines, had to rely on people in the team to overcome obstacles, when they worked together and devised a strategy (for example, when crawling between the ropes, walking on the slackline). After the lunch break, they also tried their hand at working together on a dragon boat ride. The afternoon belonged to various sports activities according to the students' wishes - football was played, beach volleyball, there were also groups of fitness enthusiasts who used the space of the local gym. The students were able to replenish their strength not only with a dinner together in the local canteen, but also with a barbecue around the fire in the evening.

The next day after breakfast, the pupils with their class teachers, PE teachers and educational counsellor went on a 10km walk - from the campsite they walked together to Třeboň square and Schwarzenberg's tomb, a large part of the way led through NS Health Hrádeček - Třeboň. During the walk the students played bingo in groups and also made up a poem, which they then recited in front of the tomb. At the end of the day, after a lunch break, the students filled in the so-called "exit forms", in which they evaluated the course themselves, and were then passed on as freshmen of our school.
During the second tour, i.e. from 4 September to 5 September 2025, pupils from 1.EE and 1.ER arrived in Doubí u Třeboně with their class teachers. Again, they spent the day, night and the following day not only with their class teachers, but also with the PE teachers and two members of the school counselling centre. The programme was similar in many ways, consisting of familiarisation, bonding and sporting activities, in addition to giving space for the students' own group needs and chatting. The final walk came out to about 9 km - this time it was under a cloud and therefore not so hot, so the journey passed very pleasantly. Bingo, aimed at finding and ticking off natural and man-made objects to see along the way, also took the students some time.

Even the students of 1.EE and 1.ER were passed as freshmen of the SPŠ SE, received badges with the school logo to pin on their backpacks and in return they filled out "exit slips" for their class teachers and SPS staff, in which they had the opportunity to comment on the whole course. We were pleased to read many very positive responses in the feedback on the "adaptation" and that the students perceived the benefits of the course to be the opportunity to get to know each other, work on bonding as a team and play sports together, as evidenced by the fact that some students would prefer to spend much more time together outside the school building - there will certainly be opportunities for this at other school events. There were also interesting suggestions for improvement, which will help us in organising adaptation courses for new freshmen in the next school year. Either way, these were meaningful days, albeit perhaps more challenging for some, which we hope will contribute to building a more relaxed climate in each classroom.
