In the first week of September, 3 selected students from the 2nd ER with their teacher went to Brno for SQL Bootcamp and WUGDays 2024. Both events are organized by Windows User Group (WUG) Czech Republik. WUG is an association of IT professionals at Microsoft, thanks to which not only people from Microsoft directly give lectures, but also many experts from other companies that run Microsoft solutions.
On the first day we attended 10 hours of lectures on database development, administration and security. The most popular lecture among the students on this day was the lecture by David Gesvinder, PhD, MVP, on Unicode in databases and on Security audit of database server by Ing. Marek Chmel, MSc, MVP.
On the second day, when we visited the WUGDays event, we attended lectures on artificial intelligence and cyber security. Due to the long journey home, we were unable to attend the entire program. We were most interested in Jan Pilar's lecture on Ukraine - cyber warfare and what we know about it. We would like to thank the school management and SRPS for the opportunity to attend this conference.
